This May, Greenmanjaro, in partnership with Roots & Shoots, Afrissol, Silverleaf Academy, and FTK, will host 1,500 students from Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots clubs across Tanzania’s Northern Zone at the highly anticipated ‘Kili Kids for Climate’ Festival at Silverleaf Academy, Usa River, Arusha.

This two-day event promises an unforgettable experience, featuring interactive activities, storytelling sessions, quizzes, and community-building initiatives designed to equip children with the knowledge and skills to tackle climate change while promoting collaboration and innovation.
The festival will also highlight our educational initiatives, including the newly introduced school book, The Future is in Our Hands.

Designed for Tanzanian students aged 13–16, this 80-page resource utilises vibrant illustrations, engaging activities, and locally relevant content to educate students on climate change. Covering topics such as sustainable agriculture, recycling, and biodiversity, the book aims to provide practical knowledge and job-oriented skills for a more sustainable future.
