Dar es Salaam’s Kijichi Veterans team has emerged victorious in the Easter Kitambi Noma International Bonanza, after defeating formidable Ndovu team from Kenya in a dramatic penalty shoot-out (5–4), held at the General Tyre grounds in Arusha.
Suka Veterans, also from Dar es Salaam, claimed third place and a trophy. The tournament’s top scorer was Kibuta Kibuta from Suka Veterans, who netted seven goals and was awarded the Golden Boot.
The Fair Play Shield went to Paris FC of Kenya for being the most disciplined team.
