The High Court in Arusha has appointed Mary Sangatobe the administratrix of the estate of her late husband, Zephania Ubwani, a seasoned journalist, who died without leaving a will on April 6, 2024 at AICC Hospital in the city. Judge Ayoub Mwenda ruled that Mary, the wife of the deceased Zephania, who is the petitioner in the matter, complied with all the requirements and that no objection was raised by any other person. “That being said and since the petitioner met all the requirements and no caveat has been raised, I hereby appoint Mary Sanga to be the administratrix of the deceased’s estate, one Zephania Ubwani… “… She will have to administer the estate according to the law and file inventory and final accounts before this court within six months from today. It is so ordered,” the judge declared in the ruling delivered recently. He observed that on July 24, 2024, a general citation was issued to be published in the Government Gazette and any other local newspaper which is widely circulated in the country. The same was well complied with by the petitioner as evidenced by the Government gazette issue ISSN No. 40 dated October 4, 2024 and in Mwananchi Newspaper dated September 27, 2024.
